ST JOHN'S SPONSORED WALK!
Last week at St. John's the whole school (apart from those on study leave) took part in a sponsored walk. 1100 students and 120 staff walked a 9 mile route through our ancient and beautiful Savernake forest. Each group walked in their vertical tutor groups (Y7-10) and although students were encouraged to take a steady pace, many groups really wanted to catch the ones in front and overtake!
This was a fantastic day with the major purpose to continue raising funds for an All Weather Pitch, although we will be channelling a proportion of the funds towards charity causes.
